Metain ("we", "us", "our") operates the Metain platform at metain.dev. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect your information when you use our Service.

2. Information We Collect

From Roblox OAuth

When you sign in with Roblox, we receive:

  • Roblox User ID
  • Username
  • Display Name

We do not receive your Roblox password, email, friends list or payment information from Roblox.

From Your Use of Metain

  • Prompts you submit to generate code
  • Code and UI generated for you
  • Projects you save
  • Credit usage and transaction history

Automatically Collected

  • IP address
  • Browser type and version
  • Device information
  • Pages visited and features used
  • Date and time of access

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide the Service: Generate code, save projects, manage credits
  • Improve the Service: Analyze usage patterns, fix bugs, enhance features
  • Security: Detect fraud, prevent abuse, protect users
  • Communication: Send account alerts, respond to support requests
  • Legal compliance: Meet regulatory and legal obligations

4. What We Do NOT Do

In compliance with Roblox's Creator Third Party App Policy:

  • We do not sell your personal data.
  • We do not use your prompts or code to train AI models.
  • We do not share your data with advertisers.
  • We do not use third-party profiling services.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Metain:

Roblox (Authentication)

Provides OAuth login. Subject to Roblox Privacy Policy

Stripe (Payments)

Processes payments. We do not store your credit card information. Stripe may collect device data and browsing behavior on checkout pages. Subject to Stripe Privacy Policy

Anthropic (AI Processing)

Processes prompts to generate code. Prompts are sent to Anthropic's API but are not used to train their models (per our API agreement). Subject to Anthropic Privacy Policy

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. Stripe may also set cookies on checkout pages for fraud prevention. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

7. Data Retention

  • Account data is retained while your account is active.
  • After account deletion, your data is removed within 90 days.
  • We may retain anonymized, aggregated data for analytics.
  • Some data may be retained longer if required by law.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of your data
  • Delete: Request deletion of your account and data
  • Export: Download your projects and generated code
  • Correct: Update inaccurate information

9. Age Requirement

Metain is only available to users aged 13 and older, as required by Roblox OAuth. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If we discover we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

10. Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and secure storage. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

11. International Users

Metain is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the US, your data may be transferred to and processed in the US. By using Metain, you consent to this transfer.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
